Water buffalo are widely regarded as very dangerous animals. Just before this photo was taken, the entire herd began to charge our jeep. It was such an amazing sight I asked our driver and ranger if we could stop so I could capture the action. They both shouted an emphatic 'NO' as we sped out of danger range. Unfortunately the jerking and bumping of the jeep on the severely rutted plain prevented me from getting the shot I wanted, but as they explained how that herd would have liked nothing better than to overturn our jeep, I sighed a huge sigh of relief instead. In that moment, I accepted this "after shot" as good enough.
